I mentioned that I was making a surprise for MP's birthday. The party is tomorrow and there will be at least 17, possibly 19 folk, here. We are in full party mode. MP will be spending the night with her grandparents to allow Dad and I to
Since she's not going to be here in the morning, her surprise had to be ready to go with her tonight. And here it is:

I've mentioned that my mom is an excellent seamstress. She made my prom dress (amongst hundreds others). She has three? four? sewing machines, and gave me her old one when I moved into our house. We had a wonderful time making this for MP. Mammaw is a great teacher - she even rips out stitches when you make a mistake.
I realize that this dress isn't the fanciest or the prettiest. But, my mother made me so many dresses, I thought I should try to carry on the tradition.
I hope you like it MP!

Now the next step is to start doing your own embroidery, and then you have hit the next crazy SAHM level. I got a basic one last year and Van's Lowes project apron has his name embroidered on it.
This is awesome. You are so talented. I almost failed sewing class when I was in high school so I had to pay the lady who worked at my parent's house to do it for me.
Anyway this is lovely; she will be the prettiest girl of the party!! and please post pictures!! Can't wait to see them.
Can you believe she is already 1 year old!!! I am still in disbelief about my peanut.
OMG Laura! That is amazing! So proud of you! Have a great party!
Awww! This is adorable! It really looks professional. I can't wait to see pictures of her wearing it! :) Good job, Mommy Attorney.
Wow! I must admit, I don't do that as a SAHM! Super cute - can't wait to see pics of her in it & the party. Also, CAN'T BELIEVE she is turning one!!! How is that possible????
